It has a 8-cell battery which promise more than 5 hours of battery life, a HD (720p/900p resolution) screen, powerful speakers, up to 500GB worth of hard drive storage, and above average graphics performance. The only drawback of this laptop is that it does not have an optical drive. But for those who are more likely to download software and entertainment than use a disc, this thin and light system is ideal for streaming content and playing digital files. And similar to other laptop models from Dell, the Dell Studio 14z is available in various colors and design that you can choose to reflect your personal style. Dell Putting More Artistic Design On Their Laptops

After the Mike Ming edition laptop, Dell has recently added several more artistic designs to their laptops.

First, there are 3 new artwork designs for Studio series laptop as a part of the (PRODUCT) Red initiative. When you purchase any these products, part of the proceeds will go to the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. Below are the picture of the Studio laptop with the 3 new artworks designed by Bruce Mau, Siobhan Gunning, and Joseph Amedokpo respectively.




Available for both Studio 15 and 17, the artworks are infused into the laptop covers to ensure the design always remains vibrant.

Besides the Studio line laptop, Dell has also added several new design for their Inspiron Mini 9 and 12 netbook. Here are the few beautiful patterns designed by artist Tristan Eaton for the Inspiron Mini 9 and 12:






While the hardware specs remain the same, Dell will charge extra $50 for the cosmetic upgrade for both Inspiron Mini 9 and 12.

Dell seems to be getting more creative with their laptop design recently. And some of these design are pretty "pink" as you can see from the pictures above. Not a bad idea to pick any one them if you want a laptop with cool design that stands out from the crowd.

Dell Studio laptop sits in the middle of Inspiron and XPS line. It's a new product line added by Dell in 2008 based on customer feedback, which asked for personalization, connectivity and simplicity.

Dell Studio in Flamingo pink is sleek and stylish. If XPS is too pricey and Inspiron is not powerful enough for you, the Dell Studio line should suit you the best.

Dell has introduced the Mike Ming Edition Studio laptop today.

If you are not satisfy with the orginal plain design of the Studio laptop, you could now choose to get the special Mike Ming edition Studio laptop with five different special design: Sunburst, Red Swirl, Seaweed, Sea Sky, and Bunch O Surfers.


Base on the specifications and the individual notebook sizes, they are categorized into Standard and Extreme models. Standard models come with 2GHz Core 2 Duo and a Mobility Radeon HD 3450 in the Studio 15 or a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo and Mobility Radeon HD 3650 fit into the Studio 17, and up to 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive.
