MTS-Ukraine conversation while roaming

The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announces the results of the use of roaming services in the third quarter of 2011, where he notes that from July to September 2011 has been steady growth in use of roaming services among its customers. Increase in the consumption of voice services by subscribers of "MTS Ukraine" in the third quarter of 2011 amounted to about 20% relative to the second quarter of 2011 and 10% versus the same period last year.

The operator said that there remains a tendency of growth and usage of mobile Internet services. Thus, the use of mobile Internet while roaming per subscriber on average increased by 25% compared with the previous quarter. In the third quarter of 2011 also saw an increase in activity using SMS-services. The number of messages sent and received SMS-messages when roaming increased by 42% compared to third quarter 2010 and 46% relative to the second quarter of 2011.

The most popular services, "Bon Voyage», «SMS-roaming packages" and "Call me back at roaming" that provide substantial savings when roaming. In particular, in the 3rd quarter 2011 increase of Use "Bon Voyage" in the second quarter was 32%.

The most popular destinations were roaming Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain and Germany. About 60% of all calls were made in these countries, where from July to September, most visited roamers "MTS Ukraine" - the order of 75%. These countries belong to the tariff zone "Countries MTS" and "Europe and the CIS" - the most popular destinations with low tariffs.

In the 3rd quarter of 2011 also saw increased activity of foreign subscribers in Ukraine - the increase in the amount of voice traffic visitors MTS was 60% compared to Q2 of this year. The largest flow of tourists was observed from Russia, Romania, Poland, Moldova, Italy, Belarus and Germany.
